Ashley Park is Terry Miles' current pop fixation. For want of a clean break from the past, wunderkind Terry dreamt up this group one lazy summer afternoon. "Floating beauty" and "...distinctively airy, pastoral sonic landscape..." are phrases that have been used to describe the Ashley Park sound. Since 2000 they have released two critically acclaimed albums: Town and Country and The American Scene. The first album was released on Kindercore the sophomore effort on his own imprint Darling. They are now in pre-production for their third album which promises to have a bit more twang (read: The Byrds and The Band.) From their inception, The Hive has been a crucial part of the Ashley Park experience. Some of the songs on those two albums started at his home and then were brought to our studio others were built from the ground up and then shunted over to his place for overdubs and finally thrown back into our incubator to quick-seal the molten pop madness. We were just glad to be a part of those two very special albums and our eagerness is building as Terry finishes writing his new album: The Secretariat Motor Hotel.
