The Foundation of the group now known as Bella was formed in 2001 when members Cameron Fraser, Tiffany Garrett, and Charla Benet met at college. The friends began playing together and formulating plans to carry the band on after their time at school. This proved somewhat difficult considering the physical distance that would seperate the members after school, with Cameron in Saskatoon, Charla in Vancouver, and Tiffany returning to her home in San Francisco. Despite their seperation they were determined to continue with the band. Through constant communication and a few international visits the three revitalized their commitment to creating music together. Accompanying this renewal was the addition of the essential fourth member, Matt Hutchings. With this exciting new addition, the now-quartet moved to Vancouver in 2003. Bella has created a unique brand of sparkling pop that falls nothing short of beautiful. This dreamy foursome turns heads and wins hearts with their ever so catchy dance-tinged indie pop tunes. Boasting classic boy/girl harmonies combined with insatiable hooks, and immediate sing-along songs writing, Bella will leave you humming their infectious melodies for days afterwards. Bella not only delivers great dance tracks but proves their softer side, unveiling slow pop ditties that will make you fall in love. Sporting noodling synthesizers and the odd drum machine, the band also reveals a truly versatile style of vocals with all four members taking turns at the mike and switching instruments. Bella's greatest strength is found in the complex set of influences that each member contributes to the writing of these memorable songs. Bella just released their first full-length titled, Pretty Mess.
