Colin Stewart is the primary engineer and co-founder of The Hive
Studios. His passion for recording coupled with an extensive working
knowledge of all things audio, has earned him a reputation as one of
Canada's top indie-rock engineers.
Colin has recorded albums by Black Mountain, Pretty Girls Make Graves and Destroyer amongst others. He has recorded artists on lables such as Matador, Fat Cat, Epitaph, Jade Tree, Kill Rock Stars, and Merge as well as many other smaller labels.
Colin has also documented live performances
by Fugazi, Songs:Ohia, The Walkmen and many others. In 2001, he recorded The Beans, for their entire 48 hour performance.
